Endline Survey for Sajhedari Bikaas (Recovery Districts)
The Project for Agriculture Commercialization and Trade (PACT)

Sajhedari Bikaas is a five-year USAID-funded project focusing on improving local governance by empowering communities to direct their own development. Through strategic interventions, it sought to reinforce the relationship between local government bodies and citizens. After the destructive earthquakes in 2015, the project extended its support to six highly affected districts. Athena is conducting end line survey assessment to estimate the impact of the project. The assessment also seeks to understand whether the governance-strengthening activities could be applicable in future recovery-like scenarios. The project will therefore collect data on the overall recovery effort; the government's responsiveness, and citizen satisfaction, through qualitative and quantitative survey instruments. It will then analyze these accordingly against benchmarks.
