Landscape Study on African Water Supply and Sanitation Regulation

Landscape Study on African Water Supply and Sanitation Regulation

Understanding the Water Supply and Sanitation Regulation Landscape Throughout Africa

Athena Infonomics, as part of a consortium engagement led by Aguaconsult, has been commissioned by the Eastern and Southern Africa Water and Sanitation (ESAWAS) Regulators Association—a leading forum for the promotion of effective regulation of water supply and sanitation services in Africa—to conduct a landscape study on water supply and sanitation regulation in all 55 African countries.

Athena is working with Aguaconsult to develop the study’s analytical framework, conduct primary and secondary research on regulatory institutions, mandates, and practices, and produce reports on water supply and sanitation at the country, regional, and continent level.
