Saiyed Kamil is a lawyer who believes in evidence-based policymaking. In pursuit of his interest in policymaking, he has interned with think tanks such as the Centre for Policy Research, Delhi and the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, Delhi. During his undergraduate education, Kamil was part of the National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) Diversity Report, which studied and observed the structures of powers and privileges masquerading as merit within the student body. Post-graduation, Kamil pursued the Daksha Fellowship in Law and Policy, and co-authored the Madhya Pradesh Migrant Crisis Report, which collected interviews and tracked the experiences of 3,000 migrant workers over the course of the various COVID-19 waves.
Kamil graduated in law from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata.
