Aarti's interests include public policy, urban governance, and solid waste management, and, prior to working at Athena Infonomics, has worked with a number of renowned institutions in these areas. She served the Government of Rajasthan's Rural Development Department under the National Rural Economic Transformation Project (NRETP), a World Bank-funded initiative. Aarti has also worked in the IT sector, as an Associate Analyst in the content engineering vertical, under the e-commerce domain.
She has spent time in Rajasthan's Kota district, serving as a Block Project Manager (Young Professionals) for Rajasthan Grameen Ajeevika Vikas Parisad, leading financial inclusion, institutional building, livelihoods, and enterprise-promotion verticals. In addition, Aarti has worked with bankers' committees on solving micro-credit loan issues at the grassroots level, and has led capacity-building and awareness programmes as part of the Government of India's Unnati and Poshaan Mah initiatives.
Aarti earned a Master of Arts degree in public policy and governance from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Hyderabad, and has a Bachelor's degree in commerce from Maitreyi College, University of Delhi.
