Didin Mathew's interests include development economics and impact evaluation. Prior to joining Athena Infonomics, he worked for Ecorys India as part of their M&E team, managing the Government of Tamil Nadu, India's Tamil Nadu Rural Transformation Project (TNRTP), an initiative supported by the World Bank. Didin also worked with LiquidHub Analytics as an Associate Consultant. He started his career at the Madras School of Economics as a Research Assistant working on a project centered on the policy determinants of household economic development. Over the course of his career, Didin has acquired skills in software such as STATA, R, Nvivo, and SQL, and statistics, with a specialization in causal inference techniques for impact evaluation.

Didin holds a Master's degree in Development Economics from the University of Sussex. For his dissertation, he examined the relationship between parental education and the development of cognitive and non-cognitive skills in Ethiopia to understand the intergenerational transmission of human capital. Didin also earned a Master's degree in Quantitative Finance from the Madras School of Economics.
