Jonathan McGrath manages Athena Infonomics' internal and external communications activities, and guides all strategic planning of these efforts.
Prior to working in the development sector, Jonathan began his professional career in print media, developing custom promotional content for publications such as The New Yorker, National Geographic Traveler, and various Time Out imprints, including the weekly magazine Time Out New York.
With a desire to apply his writing and project-management skills in the fields of environmental and urban advocacy, he earned a Master of Urban Planning, and has since devoted his career to developing communications solutions for organisations that are addressing global challenges, such as the New York City Department of Environmental Protection (the largest municipal water and wastewater utility in the United States) and the international not-for-profit Safe Water Network. At Safe Water Network, Jonathan directed communications for the organisation's United States, Ghana, and India offices.
Jonathan holds a B.A. in Humanities and a Business Studies minor from Providence College, and earned a Master of Urban Planning at New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
