Macroeconomics and policy evaluation are Pratik's main areas of interest. Prior to joining Athena, he worked as a Research Assistant for Prof. Huw Edwards of Loughborough University, UK, collecting social distancing data by studying Google Maps and bilateral trade effects. Pratik has also worked as a Project Assistant under the supervision of Prof. Sumedh Dalwai of St. Andrews University, Scotland, aiding in the development of the Mandeshi Microfinance Bank Covid-19 Report.

Pratik has a Master's degree in Economics and International Business from Loughborough University, UK and a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai.
