Apurba’s interest lies in learning about policies and multiple aspects of urban development – solid waste management, transit-oriented development and sustainable cities. She has 5 years’ experience in the infrastructure domain. Her understanding of business development with multilateral aid agencies includes DfID, ADB and the World Bank in Asian economies. As a research consultant with WRI, Apurba undertook comparative study relating to the economics of service provisioning in a multi-stakeholder environment for the cities of Bangalore and Indore. She previously supported a startup in Bangalore, developing strategic initiatives for waste management. An economist by training, Apurba holds a master’s degree in international trade from Symbiosis International University. She completed her bachelor’s degree at Banaras Hindu University.
