Shamima Aktar is a consultant at Athena. Her expertise lies in urban planning, WASH, climate change and sustainable development. She previously worked in various national and international organizations including SNV Netherlands Development Organisation, CGIAR Research Program on Aquatic Agricultural Systems-WorldFish and BFES-Amader Gram. She holds bachelor’s degree in urban and regional planning and a master’s degree in disaster management. She also holds a master’s degree in sustainable urban planning from Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden, awarded by Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP).
