Meghna is someone who brings calm and thoughtfulness to the CBD team. She enjoys working closely with people, figuring things out together, and making sure no one feels stuck or left out in the process.
In this Team Speak, she shares what teamwork really looks like in her day-to-day work, the people who’ve shaped her learning at Athena, and why patience and support matter more than we often realise.
Meghna (M): The Athena value that resonates most with me is Solve Together. In my role as an Associate in the CBD team, collaboration plays a central role in how I approach problem-solving and day-to-day work. Much of my work involves partnering closely with teammates to analyze data, maintain shared systems, and deliver insights that others rely on. When challenges arise - whether it’s clarifying assumptions, addressing inconsistencies, or responding to time-sensitive needs - I’ve found that working through them together leads to stronger outcomes. Open communication and real-time collaboration allow us to support one another, divide responsibilities effectively, and move forward with confidence.
I also bring this value to life by focusing on shared learning. As one of the points of contact for CRM within the team, my manager and I work closely to ensure not just accuracy, but understanding across the team. When we noticed that some teammates were finding certain aspects of the system challenging, we created regular touchpoints to walk through questions, align on best practices, and build collective confidence - especially for newer team members.
For me, solving together isn’t just about arriving at the right answer. It’s about valuing different perspectives, staying empathetic, and creating a collaborative environment where people feel comfortable asking questions and learning from one another. That collaborative and empathetic approach is what enables teams to do their best work.
M: My manager has had the biggest influence on my professional development here. From the start, they’ve been very supportive and approachable, always willing to explain things patiently and in a non-judgmental way, no matter how many questions I had. That level of support made a big difference when I was still learning and helped me build confidence in my work. Beyond my manager, the broader team has also played an important role - there’s a strong culture of collaboration, and because we work closely together on many tasks, people are always willing to help and support one another.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve taken from this environment is that kindness and patience go a long way. Being understanding and supportive helps build trust and creates a real sense of belonging within the team. I especially remember the patience others showed me when I was new, and I try to carry that forward when onboarding and training new team members, keeping in mind that everyone learns at a different pace and brings different strengths.
