Evaluating Child Innovation Initiatives in India
NITI Aayog

In an effort to cultivate one million child innovators across India, the Atal Innovation Mission, an initiative of NITI Aayog and the Government of India, has established Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs) in schools across the country. These ATLs aim to help youth develop and use technology to find feasible solutions to problems.

Athena Infonomics has been assigned to: evaluate the performance of funded ATLs in terms of infrastructure, student engagements, events, and innovations carried out in the schools; review parameters such as fund utilization and operational compliance; track the education and career journey of ATL students, including career options chosen by school alumni; and capture the change in mindset of ATL in-charges, principals, and teachers, as well as the impact on the communities involved.
