Akansha Agarwal is joining Athena Infonomics as a Consultant in the Child Protection vertical under MERL. She comes from a background in Social Work and has worked across programme management, stakeholder engagement and field coordination. Prior to joining Athena, she has worked with the National Resource Cell for Social Audit under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India, where she was involved in programme coordination, inter-state engagement, social audit processes, and policy-linked implementation support.

She has also worked with Reliance Foundation through the WomenLeaders India Fellowship, contributing to initiatives focused on women’s leadership, adolescent development, and grassroots programme management. Akansha holds a Masters degree in Social Work from Delhi School of Social Work.

Her interests lie in child protection, gender and community development through an ecological approach, and strengthening field-based awareness.
