Amit Chakravarty is Program Director of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Public Infrastructure Services at Athena Infonomics, bringing rich experience in program management, strategy, operations, and executive communications. He has worked with UN agencies such as World Food Programme, UNDP and international research organisations with a particular focus on good governance, livelihoods, and the nexus of water, food and energy security.

Amit has worked in India and Africa to drive transformation, complex initiatives and operational excellence. Prior to joining Athena Infonomics, Amit held leadership roles in global development organizations, where he managed large-scale programs and advised senior leadership on strategy, improving operational effectiveness and strategic communications across India and Africa.

Amit worked closely with governments in India to design and deploy digital infrastructure to improve efficiency and effectiveness of public service delivery. In Africa he worked closely with national governments and private sector to develop and manage programs related to climate-smart agriculture, natural resource management, women and youth livelihood, and food and nutrition security.
