Lauren has 13 years of experience, including 8 years of experience in the water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sector. Prior to joining Athena Infonomics, Lauren was the Senior Manager, Innovations & MEL at Safe Water Network, where she worked with governments, nonprofits, and bi-lateral and multi-lateral institutions on projects related to financial sustainability and disaster response, including a cross-sector analysis on small water enterprise (SWE) resiliency and COVID response strategy using a financial framework designed in collaboration with The World Bank Group. She also worked with a number of WASH funders and corporate foundations to develop and implement projects to improve access to safely managed water, standardized reporting, and increased consumer participation through MEL frameworks. She was first inspired to work in WASH when she assisted on the development of a rainwater collection system in Uganda.

Her career also includes experience in innovative finance, working with startups in Europe and West Africa, in addition to working for an impact investor in Ghana, where she did investment research and social impact evaluation that informed a multi-million-dollar investment portfolio.

Lauren holds a Master of Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she was a Rotary Global Scholar and won the Lloyd F. Gruber Prize for Best Policy Paper.
