Jeyasoorya is a Design Researcher with an interdisciplinary academic background spanning policy, governance, and digital society. He holds an undergraduate degree in International Relations, which provided a strong foundation in understanding public policy, governance systems, and societal structures. He later pursued a Master’s in Digital Society from IIIT Bangalore, specializing in Human-Centered Design and examining how technology interacts with real-world social contexts.

Prior to joining Athena, Jeyasoorya worked with Wadhwani AI on AI-enabled public sector solutions. His work involved field research, stakeholder interviews, and close collaboration with product, engineering, and program teams to identify on-ground implementation challenges and translate research insights into practical design and service improvements.

His approach combines user research with hands-on UI/UX design, alongside a strong interest in service design and the development of technology that creates meaningful and inclusive social impact.
