Dr. Sayantani Chatterjee serves as Senior Consultant at Athena Infonomics’ MERL practice, which she joined in July 2026. She works across consultancy, research, and M&E assignments, with responsibilities spanning project management and delivery, proposal development, and business development.

Her core expertise lies in quantitative research and statistical analysis, with experience in survey design, sampling methodology, baseline and endline studies, needs assessment, impact evaluations, and M&E systems. Her work covers health and nutrition, education, livelihoods, WASH, socioeconomic research, and development programmes. She has previously managed end-to-end delivery of a diverse portfolio of research and evaluation assignments across multiple thematic areas for government, multilateral agencies and international development organisations across India and select international contexts.

She holds a PhD and MSc in Population Studies from International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, and has authored over 10 peer-reviewed publications and presented at national and international conferences on a range of development issues.
