Smaranika Hazra is an Associate Consultant, IBU at Athena Infonomics. Her experience includes sustainability consulting, ESG, climate strategy, impact assessment and value chain development. She has worked with multiple Indian and international organizations in implementing large scale projects, research, strategy development and stakeholder engagement. She has been involved in projects across different sectors like sustainable agriculture, textile, e-commerce, foundations, public service organizations and commercial brands. She holds an MBA in Sustainability Management from TERI School of Advanced Studies. Prior to this, she studied English Literature (B.A, M.A) from the University of Calcutta. Apart from work, she has a keen interest in research and creative writing.

Her achievements in work include developing 13 chapters in the first Sustainability Report for Noida International Airport, creating framework for research on Biomaterials in a Project with RSB (Roundtable for Sustainable Biomaterials, Switzerland) that was reviewed and appreciated by WWF as the funding authority, anchoring the Flipkart Sustainability Start-Up Challenge '26 by coordinating with 80+ start-ups across India and evaluating their sustainable packaging and textile products and hosting Agri-Entrepreneurship Summit 2026 for Syngenta Foundation.
